A Lifelong Republican, 90, on Why She’d Vote for Tony Kozycki for Congress | October 9, 2026

At 90 years old, Sandy Masters told me this is the most important election of her lifetime. Sandy is a lifelong Republican and a founding member of Mt. Rose Republican Women, the largest Republican women’s club in Northern Nevada (Reno). She served fourteen years on Nevada’s Government Employee-Management Relations Board, appointed by governors of both parties. She was a licensed Realtor in California and Nevada for more than fifty years, built several successful tech companies with her late husband, Charles Masters, and raised seven children, one of which is my Communications Director, Chayah Masters. Today Sandy has 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Sandy came to our rallies and watched our debate, the one my Republican opponent didn’t show up for. When we sat down together, we talked about why both parties have lost the trust of the American people, why division is easy and unity is the hard work, and why it takes courage to stand up to your own party’s leadership. She told me that if she lived in Georgia, she’d be voting for me. I’m honored, and I’ll be counting on those prayers she's offered me. I’m running for Congress in Georgia’s 7th District because our community deserves solutions, not slogans.
